Once a month I am going to be doing a Brand Review, the first one being my ABSOLUTE favourite Drug Store brand! This is Australis!! This brand is high quality, reasonably priced, not tested on animals and I find the products do EXACTLY what they say they will! I have a product (or two!!) from almost every single part of their brand so I am going to do a review on each product and let you know my thoughts! I'm going to be talking about the products as I apply them to my face so their is some sort of order to this blog! So im going to begin with Primers and Face Base's. My all time favourite Primer has to be the Australis Primer (in the white tube) this primer does just what it says it will and more. It smoothes all your pores and allows for a good even coverage, it helps to keep your foundation in place even in humid weather and in cooler climates it even provides your skin with much needed moisture. The perfect all rounder! I find that this primer combined with the Stayput Foundation are a match made in heaven!! If you can get your hands on this primer then buy it! Next up is the Bronzing Primer, this primer is ideal for Summer as it gives the skin a bronze cast, which if you don't have yellow toned skin would probably not be ideal. I find its best when applied with a brush as if you apply it with your fingers it tends to move and flake, when applied correctly it is a good primer but I would not repurchase this product due to the fact that I believe my skin is just too oily. Lastly is the Matte Out Face Base, this product is designed to be applied to the T-Zone and Chin to absorb moisture and prolong the wear of foundation. I tested this product out at the beginning of summer and found if I applied it before my Primer (as suggested) I noticed absolutely no change. But if I applied it over my Primer I was guaranteed at least a couple more hours wear of my foundation. I had read alot of reviews on this product so was excited to try it out but to be honest I think it is my least favourite product in my collection. Next up is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE AUSTRALIS PRODUCT.....drum roll please...the Australis Stayput Foundation! Heaven in a bottle!!! This foundation applies easily, wears all day and looks completely flawless. I would say it would be medium to full coverage but definitely build-able. I can't tell you how many comments I get on my skin when I am wearing this foundation. I can't get enough!! If you try one thing from this blog post...it needs to be this foundation. To set any foundation I am using I use the Pressed Powder in Deep Natural, now I have quite pale skin and this powder seems to blend any foundation (even my slightly too light Winter foundation) perfectly! It makes the skin look flawless and is great for touch ups as the day goes on. Australis High Lights comes in the cutest wee bottle and is simple to apply, this is a cream highlight and has a little pump so you don't get too much product at once. I think it comes in a few different shades but mine is Gold and to be honest, I only really wear this on a night out as I think it's a little much for day time...and because I have the perfect day time highlighter/illuminator. This is simply named Illuminator and is buttery soft, I haven't included a photo because it just doesn't do this product justice. It is a champagne toned illuminator and looks perfect under the brow bone and on top of the cheek bones. I have four Blushes, two creme and two powder. The creme blushes I have are Dusky Rose and Flirtatious Pink, these blushes are creamy and apply with ease. Dusky Rose is a deep pink and I think it would be perfect for Winter, Flirtious Pink is a soft coral pink and is ideal for a natural Summer time flushed look. The powder blushes I have are from the Paparazzi Perfect HD Blush range and I have Flash It and Screen Siren. These blushes are mixed blushes where they have a combination of colours that you swirl your brush it to create the perfect colour, I particularly like this type of blush as I think you can create more looks with one product. Flash It is a brighter pink toned blush that combines the colours of bright pink, a soft champagne, a skin toned colour and a bronze toned colour. I can create a brighter pink look or a barely there flushed look and it just looks perfect! Screen Siren is a blend of dusty rose, soft coral and a brighter coral and creates a lovely soft flushed look, its incredibly natural and lasts well throughout the day. The final few products I have are Lip products and Eye liners. I'm going to start with my favourite Australis Lip product and that is their new Velour Lips Matt Lip Creams. I only own one but I desperately want more!! The one I have is their only nude colour and it's called Pa-ree. This lip cream is heaven...especially for a Matt Lip Product. It goes on easily, has amazing colour pay off and lasts practically all day, oh and did I mention is smells like GRAPES!!! It just doesn't get better. The other two lip products I have are both also nudes! The first is Go Long, Long Wear Lipstick in Preppy, this is a lovely pink toned nude and glides on without issue, it lasts majority of the day and I love to layer a little lip gloss on top for the perfect nude lip. The other lipstick I have is a Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Mambo, this is a true nude and more on the brown side, unfortunately it is a little too light for me but I can't fault it on the formula! The last product doesn't really fit into this category but it is the Intensifeye Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black, I have been using this product for years and I love it, it stays glossy all day and doesn't crack or chip. The only fault I have with this product is the size of the brush, however just use a basic eyeliner brush and problem solved! All in all I LOVE Australis products, I think that the price and the quality of the products can't be faulted and I definitely recommend you all go and try out this amazing range!! I used to use the Revlon Colourstay yeaaaars ago and really like it. But for me the Australis Foundation works really well. I have really oily skin and a little bit of scarring on my chin which I find it covers completely, if I'm having a really bad skin day I just put concealer on the bad areas and that solves the problem. They are pretty similar in terms of coverage and staying power but from a price point the Australis wins for sure. Hope this helps x
